Striesekk til TOMFLASKER med Heklet Blondekant i Knallrosa og Skrift

Rough Fabric BAG for Recyclable BOTTLES with Crocheted Lace Opening & Print

I have been a bit fed up with the big plastic bag that so quickly ends up on a hook on the kitchen wall,
Full of empty recyclable bottles,
untill they finally are taken downstairs when the bag is so full that there is no more space for more...

But I have realized that they probably won't start moving more quickly downstairs in the future either,
I have therefore made them a prettier in-between-station..... *smile

*smile
Garantert bedre enn de gamle plastposene!

I sowed a bag from rough fabric with two hoops for hanging, a lightly tightened rubberband around the top, cute crocheted lace in a sharp pink color, print painted with dark gray textile color with the word "bottles" in the 3 languages of the house.
Space for approximately 6 2-liter-bottles, and some small ones...
And I am pretty pleased with the result. *smile
For sure better than the old plastic bags!

Fremgangsmåten min:
Instructions:

The linen I cut 92 cm wide and 50 cm tall. Sowed it together in the middle of the back part, and on the bottom.

I folded a wide edge and sowed (saving a small opening), so that it would have space to pull through the rubber band attatched to a safety-pin (at the end, after I had finished the crocheting and the print).

2 straps, 40 cm long and 5 cm wide. Fold and sow.

Brukte overlock nr. N på alle sømmene. Raskt og enkelt...

I used overlock no. N on all the seems. Quick and simple...

Festet på hempene på innsiden av posen. Lik avstand som knaggene.

I attached the straps on the inside of the bag. With the same distance as the hooks on the wall.

Posen ferdig sydd, klar til å stæsjes opp:

The bag ready to be styled:

Heklet Blondekant:
Crocheted Lace Edge:

I fell for this adoreable lace edge, that I came across in an old magazine, that was a part of a shawl.
It is a big contrast to the rough fabric.
And I am also getting into color mode these days, and I have been out shopping cotton yarn in lots of different Spring and Summer colors. Just lovely!
I used a thin cotton yarn (Sandnes, Mandarin naturell, Norwegian needle size 3,5).
I had to refresh my crochet language- so the links below are videos of the techniques.
I can never remember the difference between the different stitches, because I usually don't crochet that often...

Hekle luftmasker (samme som fingerhekling) sånn at det rekker rundt åpningen.

Crochet chainstitches enough to reach around the whole opening of the bag.

Snu og hekle luftmaskesnora fast i stoffet mens du hekler halvstaver i hver luftmaske unntatt 2...sånn;

Turn and crochet the band of chainstitches onto the fabric using half double crochet (hdc), starting from the 3. chainststitch from the needle; crochet 5 hdc - 2 chainstc.- and from now 7 hdc - 2 chainstc - 7 hdc untill the end of the band, then attach to the beginning of the work with a slip stitch.
Then it looks like this:

Hekle så "viftene":
Hekle først en fastmaske i første maske

Then crochet the "fans":
Crochet a single crochet in the first stitch

Lag en 3-maske-pikot sånn:
Hekle 3 luftmasker

Then crochet a 3-stitch-picot like this:
Crochet 3 chainstitches

Stikk nålen gjennom begge løkkene i fastmasken
Stick the needle through both the loops of the single crochet.

and pull the thread through both loops of the single crochet

Sånn.
There you go.

Then crochet 3  treble crochet (tr) in the chainstitch "loop". At the end of the third tr you crochet a 3-stitch-pikot (3 chain stitches and a slip stitch in the last stitch of the tr)

Then crochet a  double treble crochet (dtr)
next to the 3 tr,
and at the tip of it, a 5-stitch-pikot (5 chain stitches and one slip stitch)

en dobbeltstav med en 3-m-pikot
og to dobbeltstaver

Then a tr with a 3-stitch-pikot
and two tr

End the "fan" with chain stitch, skip 3 hdc, and attach with a single crochet, crochet a 3-stitch -pikot
and continue with fans like described above untill you are around the opening.

Skrift
Print

Then I decorated/wrote with a paintbrush with textile color, dark grey (from Panduro- came out a bit too blackish, I thought....), and for some I used stencils (not hard to tell which...., bought cheap in Stoff og Stil).
And then I thread the rubber band, and tightened it slightly, just so that the bag wouldnt hang wide open.

Definitely nicer than a plastic bag!

Have a Great Week!
Here it is Real Spring feeling, sunny, and above 10 degrees Celcius, and the snow has smelted from most of the flower beds in our garden,
and tips from many flower bulbs are peeking out! Lovely!
I just hope that the frost suddenly returns and kills them...
